If you build it, they will come. Yes, and now the research agrees! In fact, the “calculator” shows that adding 1.6 miles of interstate freeway generates between 8 and 12 million additional vehicle miles traveled. This phenomenon is now known as “the Fundamental Law of Road Congestion.”
