Dead Bobcat Prompts Policy Change

with No Comments

Laguna Beach is planning to take action on the harm that using rodenticides brings to local wildlife after a story of a dead bobcat found in a backyard [later confirmed it was in Arizona.] While it may not have been in Laguna, it is still an issue in California.

The majority of the mountain lions tested positive for rodenticides during their necropsy. That positive test ONLY happens when we use rodenticides. There are more natural ways to keep rodents out of your yard/home, but by using poisons–it is working its way up the food chain and killing wildlife. We must do better.
