We are thrilled the Fish and Game Commission opted to support the potential listing of the Mojave Desert Tortoise on the California Endangered Species List upgrading its status from threatened to endangered. While additional research and studies are needed to confirm its possible upgraded status, for now this decision will ensure continued protections.
