Orange County Superior Court Judge Claster ruled in favor of residents and environmental groups fighting a dangerous hillside development (Esperanza Hills) next to Chino Hills State Park above Yorba Linda. He ordered that all project approvals be revoked and the Environmental Impact Report to be rewritten. He also gave the County a deadline (of mid-July) for complying with the order. The Appellate Court ruled in favor of conservationists back in October and have been waiting to see how the Judge would remedy the findings of the higher court. The developer has to go back to the drawing board for the third time. We are unaware of any project at the County of Orange that has been overturned twice and will need to go before the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors for a third consideration.
