Know Your Trails

with No Comments

We spent some time in Caspers Regional Park (Orange County Parks) this weekend and thought we’d post a reminder so you know the difference between recreational and wildlife trails. Recreational trails are marked, on a park map, and tend to range between 2 feet wide (single track) and 12 feet (a fire road). These trails are used for recreation and patrolling purposes. Wildlife trails are unmarked, not on a park map, and only about 8-12″ wide. These trails are used by wildlife and appear as trampled vegetation. People should stay off wildlife trails.
