Oil Fields Must Be Cleaned Up on Banning Ranch

The California Department of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources released its findings on February 28th and found numerous violations on the Banning Ranch site in Newport Beach.  The oil operators have until March 31st to remedy the violations or face enforcement actions.  The site is proposed for development and conservation groups, including Friends of Harbors, Beaches and Parks, are advocating for preservation of the property.
