A new bill was introduced by California Senator Wiener (San Francisco) that focuses on what’s being called “light touch” housing density. It allows for the use of duplex, triplex, and fourplex units to be built in single family residential neighborhoods–without the approval of local government. This bill is an attempt to create more housing over time throughout the state.
