Senate Bill 5 (now “Prop 68”) is a $4 billion parks and water general obligation bond that voters will decide at the June 2018 Primary Election ballot. Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP) has endorsed this measure and is helping to get the word out as part of a Regional Task Force (535 KB PDF). Prop 68 is the first natural resources bond passed by the Legislature in 15 years, and, if approved by voters, it will be the largest parks and natural resource bond passed in California’s history and the largest investment in underserved communities the state has ever made.
