Check out this article on warming oceans and what it means to coastal cities, our polar ice sheets, and where people live. Warmer oceans take up more space and more space for water means coastal cities will be impacted by an estimated 12 inch sea level rise by the end of the century. Many coastal cities are built on reclaimed land and don’t have 12 inches to “give.”
